 💎 The Story of the Chaste Abu Bakr Al-Miski 

✍ One of the most remarkable stories of chastity ☝

It was said to Abu Bakr Al-Miski – who was a handsome young man with good manners – "We always smell the scent of musk from you. What is the reason?"


Al-Miski replied: "By Allah, for many years, I have not touched musk.

But the reason is that once, a beautiful woman deceived me into entering her house. She locked the doors behind me and seduced me, threatening that if I refused her, she would accuse me of theft or attempted assault!


I was bewildered and had no way out.
So, I said to her, ‘May I cleanse myself and take a bath so that I may be worthy of you?’

She ordered a servant girl to take me to the bathhouse.
Once inside, I took some filth (excrement) and smeared it all over my body.


Then, I walked out in that state.

When the woman saw me, she was utterly shocked, disgusted, and horrified. She immediately ordered my expulsion from her house!


So, I left and walked home, with everyone who saw or smelled me mocking me.
I reached my house, washed myself, and went to sleep.


That night, I heard a voice in my dream saying:

"O Abu Bakr, did you do what you did for Our sake? Then We shall honor you until the Day you meet Us."

When I awoke, the fragrance of musk was emanating from me, and it never left me.


Indeed, the scent of musk continued to follow him wherever he went.
People began calling him Al-Miski (the Musk-scented).

When he passed away, even during his washing, the fragrance of musk was still present.
